Eric Nelson - Eye and I Glass

Eric T. Nelson became interested in glassblowing while living in western Massachusetts in 1998. He studied there with Sally Prasch, a nationally recognized glass artist and teacher. Later, he moved Vermont, where he lives with his family in a small house with a vegetable garden and a glass workshop behind it.

The idea for his glass jewelry line evolved out of "recycling" shards of finished glass pieces that had broken. Today, he works with different types and shades of frit (tiny pieces of crushed glass in different sizes) to create striking jewelry with great depth of color. He loves working with frit for its ability to create endless patterns through the combination of different colors.
