"My passion is to design wearable art that can not only be enjoyed by the owner but by those who view it.
My love of metal and all things distressed began at a very early age. When I began making jewelry about 12 years ago it was natural to me to distress the surfaces. Not long after, I felt that the use of traditional patinas and finishes were very limiting and sought out new ways to apply color to metal. That is when I discovered vitreous enamels in a workshop in New York. Always one to experiment, I started incorporating unusual materials such as sand and mica powders into the enamels as well as mixing enamels together to create different effects.
I am fascinated by architecture and architectural details which compels me to travel whenever possible. My Rustic Enamel Series is inspired by architectural elements as well as vintage textiles. I reside in New York City which I find to be a constant source of inspiration."
